Step into ballet
Authentic classical ballet training for adults in a welcoming, supportive, and serious environment.
Whether you are stepping into a ballet studio for the first time, returning after years away, or looking for a place to continue your training, AdultCorps offers a place to learn, work, grow, and reconnect with ballet.
Ballet is for adults, too.
AdultCorps is the adult ballet community at BalletCorps, created for new, returning, and experienced dancers alike.
Classes follow the structure and traditions of classical ballet training while allowing instruction to meet the needs of the adults actually in the class. Combinations can be explained, questions are welcome, and meaningful corrections are an important part of the experience.
You do not need extraordinary flexibility, a particular body type, or years of previous training to belong here.
You simply need the desire to move, learn, and play!

Take class at your own pace.
AdultCorps offers legit classical ballet training, but you are always in control of how you participate.
You are encouraged to challenge yourself, but you are never expected to perform every step, every combination, full-out. Modify something. Leave out a turn. Mark a jump. Take a break. Try more when you’re ready.
You retain agency in this room. Listen to your body, work at the level that is right for you that day, and make the class your own.
As we often say in AdultCorps:
Augment, omit as you see fit!
Returning to Ballet?
Coming back to ballet can feel surprisingly emotional. You may remember how much you loved it — and also remember the pressure, self-consciousness, comparison, or expectations that sometimes came with being in class.
AdultCorps is a place to return to ballet on your terms.
The training is authentic and traditional, but the purpose is not to prove anything — except, perhaps, something to yourself. It is to nourish your spirit, challenge your body and mind, and satisfy that part of you that still wants to dance.
You can work seriously, take corrections, build technique, and grow while still taking class at your own pace and making the experience your own.
Whether you are returning after five years or thirty, these classes are for you.
AdultCorps Community
AdultCorps is about more than simply having adult classes on the schedule. It is about creating a place where adults who love ballet can feel that they genuinely belong.
Some dancers are taking their very first steps. Some are returning after years or decades away. Others have been dancing most of their lives and simply never wanted to stop. Different ages, backgrounds, abilities, and goals can all share the same studio.
What brings everyone together is pretty simple: we like ballet, and we want to dance.
Come to class, work hard, laugh when something goes completely sideways, celebrate when something finally clicks, and enjoy being around other people who understand why spending an evening doing tendus and pirouettes sounds like a perfectly reasonable thing to do.
No judgment. No pressure. Just ballet.
You can come once a week because class is the hour you look forward to all week. You can train several times a week because you love the work. You can set goals, make progress, challenge yourself, or simply enjoy moving to music in a beautiful studio.
There is room for all of that here.
AdultCorps is a place to take ballet, certainly — but my hope is that it also becomes a place you look forward to coming back to.
AdultCorps Tuition
AdultCorps monthly tuition works as a month-to-month training membership rather than a per-class package.
Choose the training frequency that fits your schedule, goals, and life. Monthly AdultCorps members are not required to attend the exact same class every week. When multiple appropriate classes are available, you may flex between them as your schedule changes.
Monthly tuition reserves access at your chosen weekly frequency rather than purchasing a specific number of individual classes. Missed classes are not credited or carried forward, but membership can be adjusted from month to month as life and schedules change.
Prefer complete flexibility with no monthly commitment? Drop-in classes are always $30.
Drop-In — $30 per class
1 Class / Week — $100 per month
2 Classes / Week — $175 per month
3 Classes / Week — $225 per month
4 Classes / Week — $250 per month
Higher-frequency options are available to dancers whose class level and schedule provide access to additional AdultCorps classes.
